Current Tonnage Price
To help our customers navigate the UK’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations, Pattesons Glass has developed a quick and easy EPR calculator.
This tool offers a straightforward estimate of your potential EPR costs based on your packaging data. While it is not a replacement for a full compliance assessment, it provides a useful starting point for understanding how EPR may affect your business and for planning your budgets accordingly.
This calculator uses the tonne charge rate advised for 2026–2027. The new system applies a traffic-light classification to packaging in the catalogue: Green (highly recyclable), Amber (moderate recyclability), and Red (hard to recycle).
Please note this calculator is currently set to use Green fees only and does not provide an accurate cost if your packaging falls under Amber or Red fee rates

Your calculation should focus on packaging that is likely to end up as household waste - typically the packaging around a single sales unit that the end consumer disposes of.
Packaging that is exported is exempt.EPR regulations are now fully in force, replacing the 2007 Producer Responsibility Packaging Waste Regulations. Under EPR, obligated producers are required to pay disposal fees for household packaging placed on the UK market. Please note that you must still purchase Packaging Recovery Notes (PRNs) for both household and non-household packaging as an additional compliance cost.
