Driver’s Pickles, is a proud family-run business with roots dating back to the mid-19^th century. It all began in the market town of Ibstock, where the Driver family first served the local community through a small grocery shop.

By 1902, the family began producing pickles to meet growing customer demand, and just four years later Frederick Charles Driver officially established the Driver’s Pickle and Vinegar Company. The business initially focused on Pickled Onions and Malt Vinegar, quickly gaining popularity with local fishmongers and shops in and around Leicester.

Over the decades, the company flourished, expanding both its product range and its reach. Now over 115 years old, Driver’s is run by the fourth generation of the family and still honours the traditional methods and recipes that inspired its founding.

Today, the brand is committed to sustainability, natural ingredients, and preserving the authentic flavours of classic British condiments. Their offering now includes a wide range of pickles, vinegars and pantry essentials, proudly crafted with heritage and care.

Working closely with Drivers over numerous years, Pattesons has grown to understand Drivers Pickles requirements and needs, allowing for a long-stand relationship to develop. Having this longstanding rapport, Drivers approached Pattesons with their next project. Their goal was to collaboratively embark on a journey to create a range of distinctive glass containers perfectly tailored to house their diverse selection of delectable, pickled products.

Harnessing the wealth of experience garnered throughout our extensive involvement with Drivers, Pattesons took the lead in responding to this creative challenge. Our journey began with an exploration of what was possible by customisation, that could be seamlessly integrated into an existing glass jar design. The result: a reimagined classic, the Half Gallon Pickle Jar.

In addition to this, our innovation extended to the creation of a bespoke solution for the 380ml and 580ml Hexagonal Jar variants. This bespoke design not only met the functional requirements of preserving Drivers' signature pickled offerings but also encapsulated their brand's essence within the very contours of the glass.

In the grand tapestry of the culinary world, where every flavour tells a story, our partnership with Drivers led to the crafting of three bespoke glass jars, that not only safeguarded their pickled treasures but also contributed to the overall experience of enjoying these delights. This project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and the artistry that can be achieved with glass.
