Welcome to Pattesons Glass. We are pleased to commence the process of opening a trade account for your Business. This form enables us to register you as a trade customer within our systems, allocate a dedicated account manager, and collect the information required for statutory EPR compliance.
The majority of the information requested is routine. The EPR-specific questions are designed to determine whether government EPR fees must be applied in addition to the cost of the glass and closures you purchase. Your responses will also assist your account manager in preparing accurate quotations.
What is EPR?
Under current legislation, all businesses utilising packaging materials are required to pay an Environmental Packaging Responsibility (EPR) levy. This levy is calculated based on the weight of the packaging products purchased. Any EPR fees collected by Pattesons Glass are remitted directly to DEFRA, the government’s environmental authority. While comparable in mechanism to VAT, the levy is not a tax; it is a mandatory contribution that supports the UK’s recycling infrastructure.
