Leading UK glass distributor Pattesons Glass has announced three internal promotions to help continue and drive the business forward.
With Pattesons seeing another year of extraordinary growth despite the economic uncertainty, the Directors at Pattesons set out their next five-year plan not only taking the company into 2023 and beyond but has cemented three key employees by way of internal promotions.
Alex Flett takes the position of Sales Manager. Alex carries a wealth of sales experience in the glass industry, having worked within the industry for the last 9 years. Alex’s new role will be focused on Key accounts, new business development, giving a clear sales strategy as well as mentoring a dedicated Sales team, that he has helped establish over the years. The Sales team consist of specialists in the spirit & beer industries, food, drinks & dairy markets as well as cosmetics and personal care, coupled with corks, caps and closures.
Alex said “I am incredibly happy, from day one, Pattesons have helped me progress in my working career, and I am looking forward to getting started in my new role. The sales team and I will continue to develop our sales strategies and work closely with our existing customers and ever-expanding customer portfolio to ensure their glass and closures requirements are supplied on time, in full, giving a true one stop service. Over the nine years I have been at Pattesons, we have always progressed year on year, and we will be looking to continue this.”
Gemma Rush has been promoted to Operations Manager. Gemma is one of Pattesons most experienced members of staff having been with the business for over 12 years. Bringing a wealth of knowledge, having previously worked within the sales and purchasing departments, Gemma’s new role will oversee operational activities, stock, warehousing, and managing a logistics team at every level whilst planning and developing product control and supply.
Gemma said “I am excited to get started in my new role and I am looking forward to working with our exceptional warehouse and operation teams. The aim is to continue the excellent work previously done and develop our product catalogue, while helping improve our operational efficiency and standards. We have grown every year I have been with company and part of my new role is to continue to help Pattesons do this.
Sam Graves has been promoted to Marketing Manager, bringing together a team of like-minded marketing execs with a focus on brand building, social media exposure and giving Pattesons the platform it truly deserves.
Sam has a wealth of marketing experience having been embedded within the Pattesons marketing team for over 8 years. He will now oversee responsibility for the continued growth of Pattesons online presence and sales channels alongside developing their existing strategy and exploring new opportunities.
Sam said “I’m excited to get going, working for Pattesons over the years has given the opportunity to further my career within the glass industry and present me the challenges needed. I look forward to collaborating closely with our experienced team to increase and improve our marketing activities over the coming months and years”
Mark Schofield Operations Director also said “We have now got a fantastic management structure, with a wealth of skills and knowledge. All three Managers, truly deserve their well-earned promotions”
